ASHRAE BC is proud to welcome Alex Repski to our May Meeting. Artificial ground freezing is a technology that has played a pivotal role in the Canadian mining industry. The presentation will include some historical and current application of artificial ground freezing (AGF) in Canada and discuss the importance of AGF to the Canadian mining and construction industries. Included will be an overview of the key components used in artificial ground freezing systems, including freeze pipes, refrigeration plants and coolant distribution systems. The presentation will also include a discussion on the design of AGF projects.
